Text Format:
- Use the word processor of your choice to write your post.
- Keep the formatting simple.
- When the article’s completed, save the document in Rich Text Format (.rtf). This will preserve the font, spacing and paragraph format, and retain any hyperlinks. If you save the file in .txt format, all formatting, fonts and hyperlinks will be removed.
Incorporation of photos, figures and screen captures:
- File format: .jpeg, .bmp, .png, .gif Maximum size: 2M
- Please place the photo or figure CAPTION of each photo/figure in the text file where you want it to appear.
- Email the photos separately from the .rtf file, identified and numbered sequentially as they appear in the text, for example: yourlastname_photo1.jpg, yourlastname_photo2.jpg …
- Optional: If you have a photo of yourself, send it. It will appear as a thumbnail in the upper righthand corner of your post.
- If you have permission to use another photographer’s photo in your article, please include the proper credit in the photo caption.
- If you have a large number of photos, they can be shown in a photo gallery, separate from your article.
Use of hyperlinks:
- Please use hyperlinks to provide readers with additional information, such as links to wiki sites or articles & photos created by others.
Content:
- All content must be original work.
- All references must be cited (via a hyperlink or footnote at the bottom of the post).
