ASCE Announces the Latest Society 2014 Award Winners

ASCE has determined the winners of a number of its awards for 2014. As of August 8, the following outstanding individuals have been named. 

Dimitrios Zekkos, Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE; Mohammad Kabalan, EIT, A.M.ASCE; and Michael M. Flanagan, P.E., M.ASCE, are the recipients of the Collingwood Prize; Daniela Malott, EIT, A.M.ASCE, is the recipient of the Daniel W. Mead Prize for Younger Members; Edward M. Mikhail, Ph.D., is the recipient of the Surveying and Mapping Award; Richard A. Schrader, P.E., M.ASCE, is the recipient of the Professional Practice Ethics and Leadership Award; Anthony S. Bartolomeo, P.E., F.ASCE, and William A. Wallace, ENV SP, M.ASCE, are the recipients of the President’s Medal; Donald R. Pettit, Ph.D., Aff.ASCE, is the recipient of the Columbia Medal; Shane I. Binder, P.E., M.ASCE; Timothy D. Brett, P.E., M.ASCE; Angela L. Matthews, P.E., M.ASCE; Brett A. Pope, P.E., M.ASCE; and Andres Torres, P.E., M.ASCE, are the recipients of the Edmund Friedman Young Engineer Award for Professional Achievement; and Ece Eseller-Bayat, M.ASCE; Mishac K. Yegian, P.E., F.ASCE; Akram Alshawabkeh, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE; and Seda Gokyer, S.M.ASCE, are the recipients of the Thomas A. Middlebrooks Award

The Seattle Section Younger Member Forum is the recipient of the Younger Member Group Award for Large Groups, and the Hawaii Section Younger Member Forum is the recipient of the Younger Member Group Award for Small Groups
